Our services

Nurse’s Consultation and Pregnancy Testing

The first thing you need to know is – are you really pregnant? A nurse will review the results from your medical-grade pregnancy test during your visit. Whether you’re considering abortion, adoption, or parenting, your nurse will be available to answer your questions and give you medical information at no cost to you.

Did you know? 15-20% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage.¹ Some pregnancies occur outside of the uterus, also known as an ectopic pregnancy. It is important to have your pregnancy confirmed by medical professionals. If it is found that you are experiencing these potential complications, you may not need to have an abortion.

Pregnancy Options Counseling

What options are you considering?

When you come to ComfortCare, you will meet with a patient advocate specially trained to talk through all of your options…Parenting. Adoption. Abortion.

Your advocate understands it’s your choice. She also believes it should be an informed choice and she’s here to answer your questions. During your appointment, we can offer you information on local resources for parenting or local adoption agencies. In addition, we can educate you on abortion procedures and possible complications.

To learn more about abortion procedures and risks, give us a call at 540-885-6261 or click here to request an appointment online.

Abortion Info Consultation

Considering Abortion?

This consultation includes pregnancy confirmation, nurse’s assessment, and options counseling. The consult helps you to answer critical questions as you consider this personal decision.

1. Do you know what type of abortion you are seeking and do you have knowledge of that procedure? Click here to learn more.

2. This consultation appointment is designed to give you the information you need to make an informed choice.  You have a right to get accurate information from a resource that will not profit from the choices you make.  While we do not perform or refer for abortions, we also do not profit from any of your sexual health or pregnancy decisions.

For a free abortion info consultation, give us a call or request an appointment online.

Pregnancy Confirmation Through Ultrasound

The nurse will assess if you are eligible for an ultrasound during your appointment. The limited obstetric ultrasounds at ComfortCare are designed to answer three important questions related to your pregnancy decision:

  1. How far along are you?
  2. Is your pregnancy growing within the uterus?
  3. Is there a heartbeat?

A physician will review and confirm our findings of this procedure. Keep in mind that a home pregnancy test doesn’t confirm you are pregnant. The best way to confirm a pregnancy is through ultrasound confirmation and physician’s review.

Medical Consultation

A nurse will review your relevant medical history as it relates to your pregnancy and answer any questions you may have. Educational materials, resources, and additional testing are available depending on your specific needs. Again, all of these services are completely free and totally confidential.

Here’s what to expect during a typical visit for pregnancy confirmation:

You should anticipate your appointment will take 45 minutes – 1 hour.

During your appointment, you will

  • Review your pertinent medical history with the nurse
  • Receive a free pregnancy test and nurse’s consultation

  • Have an ultrasound or schedule one for a later date
  • Be asked to fill out a quick survey

*Please bring your photo ID with you and allow
